Tiverton, a bustling town rich in history
in the heart of Mid Devon, has a wide range of attractions to interest
the visitor. There's a 14th-Century castle which was occupied by the Earls
of Devon up to the 16th Century and a restored canal with a horse drawn
passenger service. The town itself has a lively market and busy centre
with many shops, tea rooms and restaurants. Tiverton was once a great
wool centre and is now a modern industrial town, but there are still a
great many reminders of it's historic past.
Realising the need for a more affective means of communication, Tiverton Town Council has commissioned this website to help give both residents and visitors an insight to its work. This includes details of Council Meetings, a summary of budgets, services and contact information for all of its Councillors. |
