Welcome to Tiverton
Messages from friends and family are always nice to receive.
The town council is also taking the opportunity to send residents something interesting too! The new Tiverton town guide is being delivered in the lead up to the festive season by the Royal Mail.
The new fresh look booklet contains everything you need from lists of local organisations to street maps and local traders details. If you are worried about council costs, the writing and publishing was free and hasn't cost the council tax payer a penny. The format this year has changed slightly with far more emphasis on what Tiverton offers to the visitor.Read more: New Tiverton Town Guide
Devon County Council is launching a consultation with mobile library users, as proposals are considered which would remove underused stopping places from mobile routes, and reduce the frequency of the service, cutting the cost of the service by half.
Approximately 5,100 people across Devon use the Council's fortnightly mobile library service in rural communities not served by a static library.
Eight mobile libraries currently make 522 stops around Devon, stopping for between 20 minutes to 3 hours, but visitor figures show that 69 stops are significantly underused, with just three or fewer people using these stops.Read more: Consultation begins on proposed changes to Devon’s mobile service
